Message Hi,

I'm wondering if it's better--for the time being--to simply clean my IACV rather than buy a new one?

My 90 TT drives fine, with no hesitation during idle or acceleration. The car also always starts up nicely. However, when putting gear into neutral during a coast the RPM drops precipitously before climbing back up to the 700 range. This is the only instance during drives that the rpm does this.

I know the IACV unit isn't hard to remove or clean, and hope to do the harness sensors at the time as well. My car has 150K+ on it and it's a well-maintained TT.

Thanks in advance.
